What is UMW?
United Methodist Women (UMW) is a group of women in each congregation of the United Methodist Church who are organized for mission. Our local Englewood UMC unit relates directly to the Rocky Mount District, North Carolina Conference UMW organizations and to the Women's Division of the General Board of Global Missions.
Purpose of UMW
* To Know God
* To experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ
* To develop a creative, supportive fellowship
* To expand concepts of mission through participation in the local and global ministries of the church

Organization of Englewood UMW
Our local UMW unit is currently comprised of four women's Circles. These small women's groups meet at various times and places to achieve our overall purpose and vision. Newcomers are encouraged to visit any of these circles!

Women of the Way (Circle 1)
This Circle meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:30am at the church - Rooms 206/207. (No meetings during June, July, and August) The membership is composed of women of various ages. They are creative and enjoy spending time together participating in sewing and quilting projects, as well as other crafts. Newcomers are encouraged to visit! Circle of Joy (Circle 2)
This Circle meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 10:00am at member's homes or in the church Fellowship Hall. (No meetings during June, July, and August) This group is composed of fun-loving Christian women whose purpose is to learn about God and community, to support our missions, and to enjoy fellowship. Trinity Circle (Circle 3)
This Circle meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:30pm at the church - Rooms 206/207. (No meetings during June, July, and August) This group is composed of women of all ages seeking to grow spiritually while focusing on missions and supportive, loving fellowship. Lydia's Sisters (Circle 4)
This Circle meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm in the curch Fellowship Hall. (No meetings during June, July, and August) There is a meal served and childcare is provided. The monthly meetings consist of speakers, service projects, and fellowship. Newcomers are always welcome!
